David Allen Cain
David Allen “Dave” Cain serves as Senior Counsel across the Davidovich Stone LLP practice groups with deep prior experience in each area. Dave earned his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 2013.
After commissioned reserve military service and a ten-year national airline flying career, Dave completed law school and passed the California Bar while serving in aerospace engineering management as a contractor serving Air Force Materiel Command, Operating Location, Detachment 3 (Big Safari). After assisting at the national level with integration of unmanned aircraft into the national airspace system, Dave began his legal career serving private clients in aviation, business, and general legal matters. Dave first represented institutional creditors in capital recovery for an AmLaw100 firm while assisting private clients with aerospace/aviation tax, finance, as well as executive/operational management of aerospace assets and associated risk mitigation and liability defense.
Dave started his undergraduate education at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Dave then served an enlisted career at Charlie Company, 12th Special Forces Group (Airborne) as a communications specialist. Dave completed his undergraduate education in the Writing Program at UCSD, After reserve commissioning as top Officer Candidate (Erickson Trophy) from California Military Academy (223 Infantry Regiment, Camp San Luis Obispo), Dave led First Platoon, Alpha Company, 3/185 Armor, 40th Infantry Division.
After a brief return to the airline cockpit, Dave continued his legal practice in personal injury matters before defending a national rideshare company. Dave has also defended skilled nursing facilities and residential care facilities for the elderly. Dave has deep experience in real estate law/unlawful detainer actions in Los Angeles and surrounding counties while managing a well-established small firm. Most recently, Dave served in Workers’ Compensation defense, exposing him to all areas of his clients’ business interests.
Dave is deeply invested in the aviation and veterans’ communities through his pro bono and volunteer service. When not serving his clients, Dave enjoys baseball, travel, music, and theater.
