Howard Zisblatt


Howard has decades of experience and expertise handling complex real estate and corporate transactions and financing. Howard also has extensive knowledge and experience in Federal and State taxation, trusts and estate planning and administration. Previously Howard served for more than a decade as Vice President and acquisition counsel for a Family Office with a multi-billion dollar portfolio of real estate properties in California, Nevada and Texas. Howard has represented buyers and sellers in all areas relating to real estate, including partnership/LLC formation, contract negotiation, financing and closing in transactions with a cumulative value in excess of $1.5B. Howard handles sales and acquisitions of multi-family and commercial properties with equally high levels of expertise . With his instinctive understanding of the business of real estate and expertise in title matters, Howard has been able to close real estate transactions that others often considered not doable. Prior to joining the Family Office Howard was a partner at Fischer, Zisblatt and Kiss in Century City, California. At F,Z&K Howard served as transaction counsel handling real estate transactions, business formation and acquisition, taxation and lender based private equity financing. With his Masters in Business Taxation degree from USC, Howard has extensive knowledge and experience advising clients, including high net worth clients, in all matters relating to trust, estate and estate tax planning.
Howard received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Cal State University, Northridge 1980, and his law degree from Yeshiva University, Cardozo School of Law in 1984. Prior to returning to California with his wife and children, Howard spent five years working as a real estate attorney in New York.
When not practicing law, Howard spends time managing his real estate investments and studying and teaching Talmudic law.
